Millennial Riegn of Jesus Christ Revelation 20:6 “Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him one-thousand years.” Dear Family, when dealing with Bible prophecy in order to go forward we must always look backwards, and we must see what God said through His prophets of old>in Isaiah 46:9~10 God said>”Remember the former things, those of loooong ago; I Am God, and there is no-other; I Am God, and there is none like ME! I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times - what is still to come. I say: MY purpose will stand, and I will do as I please.” When God repeats Himself, we’d had better listen>there’s none, repeat, no-other like HIM! Not Allah, nor Budda - just Jehovah - the ONE & only God of Israel! 2 Kings 5:15 - He returned to the man of God, ...and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel. Who brought forth His Son Yeshua - for our salvation! This same Jesus is coming back when God’s plan for redemption and judgment has been realized: knowing this: human history in reality is HIS-story from beginning to end. Pre-written from before the foundation of earth was even laid! Even our salvation was the foundation laid before-hand. The sending forth of the Son of God into the world to become Yeshua - literally meaning ‘Salvation.’ 1st Corithians 3:11 ~ “For no-other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid: which is JESUS CHRIST!” Now is the acceptable time for salvation, do-not delay, confess Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior today. Because as we continue on with this series on the Millennial Reign of Christ, upon His return as KING of kings, phase one will have been completed. Scriptures’ makes it abundantly clear that a golden age is coming when all man-made problems and imbalances will be nothing more than history. An earthly kingdom is coming, and the King’s name is Jesus Christ; the one and only Son of God! The Holy Bible does not merely hint at this coming event; it is a major theme. This coming age is referred to variously as ‘Times of refreshing’ (Acts 3:21) and ‘The fullness of the times’ (Eph 1:10), but it is best known as the ‘Millennium’. The English word millennium is made up of two Latin words: mille, which means a thousand; and annum, which means a year. So, the word millennium simply means a period of one-thousand years. The best Millennium-age consulants available are the Old Testament prophets. According to their prophetic forecasts, the biblical Millennium has nothing to do with calendar changes; It will begin immediately following the return of Christ to the earth. The prophet Zechariah declares: (Zech 14:9) “And the Lord shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be ~ the Lord is one, and His name one.” The Millennium will be a time of peace and prosperity only God can provide: Isaiah 2:4 ~ “HE shall judge between the nations, and rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword aganist nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.” As author and former Billy Graham associate John Wesley White writes: “God’s Word assures us that a golden age lies just beyond Armageddon ~ an age of unprecedented peace and prosperity. An idyllic age, it will not be a democracy, a monarchy, or a socialist state. It will be a theocracy. Christ will be Lord and King over all the earth. What the Antichrist will have failed to do with militaristic and computer surveilance, Jesus Christ will do by His omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence.” Revelation 20:1~3 “Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should not deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.” Why is the Millennium needed? Many people are skeptical or a least puzzeled about the purpose of the Millennial reign of Christ. Why would God chooes to insert a ten-century reign of perfection between the twin traumas of the Great Tribulation and the Final Rebellion (the final showdown with Satan)? The imprisonment of the archenemy of God and man is the first notable event of the Millennium. The Holy Bible teaches us that the world is ‘oppressed by the devil’ (Acts 10:38), and ‘the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one’ (1 John 5:19). In fact, in several places the New Testament refers to Satan as ‘ the ruler of this world’ (John 12:31), a title he won by default from Adam, who succumbed to Satan’s temptation and disobeyed God. But, Satan’s rule will end ~ ‘The Son of God was manifested, that HE might destroy the works of the devil (1 Jon 3:8). As there is no remission of sins except by the shedding of blood,, so Jesus Christ’s suffering on the cross paid the penalty for all who call upon His holy name, and His resurrection from the grave assures our eternal life. All who are raised in the Baptism of everlasting water shall see resurrected, eternal life. At the cross and by His Resurection, Jesus cemented the right to destroy the devil’s wicked work. During the Millennium, Satan will be bound & gagged and thrown into the bottomless pit, and Lord Jesus will rule and reign with His rod and staff of life. Dr. Harry Ironside said: “There’s coming a day when men will no longer be deceived and led astray by the great tempter who, ever since his victory over our first parents in Eden, had been the persistent and malignant foe of mankind.” Will people still sin during the Millennium? It’s surprisingly yes... The inhabitants of earth, with the exception of God’s elect, will still have mortal bodies. They will still have the sinful nature inherited from Adam, which will not be removed until they are resurrected. However, the Lord will be present physically, and those who bow to His righteousness will be cleansed. Just as today whoever submits themselves willing to the Lord’s will.. Over the stretch of ten-centuries, evil will still be present in the world, but will not be the same kind of evil we know today. Sin during the millennial period will not be the result of satanic temptation; it will be a result of our own wicked and deceitful hearts. Satan will be chained-up, and his hierarchy of demons will be nuetralized. During the Millennium no one will be able to mimic the words of Flip Wilson: ‘The devil made me do it.’ Then as now, Jesus Christ is the only answer to our sinful nature! As always, do-not delay, confess Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior today, to be continued, luv greg
