Millennial Study- November 3- We will complete our study from yesterday as we look at Isaiah chapter fourteen, verse eight; Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us. This is just reaffirming verse seven, that they earth lies in peace during the millennial reign and especially, Jerusalem, Israel. Again, I state, the world seeks peace on every hand with its meetings and conclaves of important world powers, but there will no peace come until we reach the millennium. Only then can peace be brought forth onto the world scene and that will be by God not man. Now, we are going to skip over to chapter twenty four where we see, Looking through troubles to the kingdom age. Look in verse four: The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. God is speaking here of what has occurred during the tribulation. We will see in a moment the rest of the story of this destruction. The plagues that God sent onto the earth during the tribulation have almost wiped out the existence of mankind and now here in the millennium is time to rebuild those Spiritual factors and humane factions of preparing for the coming of a new heaven and a new earth. I didnt say they were coming immediately, but will be delayed for a thousand years, while Jesus reigns Supreme from His throne in Jerusalem. Thats the point of what our study is all about; life in the millennium!!! Look at verse five here and then tell me this doesnt describe our world today; The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. First, God tells us what mankind has done to our world and Gods perfect plan for His creation, then he comes back and informs us of what actions he took against the earth in verse six. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. This verse is just the beginning of Gods descriptive look at what is left of the earth after the tribulation period and the battle of Armageddon. Lets look on at the next six verses: (7) The new wine mourneth , the vine languisheth , all the merryhearted do sigh . (8) The mirth of tabrets ceaseth , the noise of them that rejoice endeth , the joy of the harp ceaseth . (9) They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it. (10) The city of confusion is broken down : every house is shut up , that no man may come in . (11) There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened , the mirth of the land is gone . (12) In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction. Now, this is not quite the kingdom age yet. It may be just a few months away but it is looking through the troubles and destruction of the tribulation and the battle of Armageddon toward the coming kingdom age, the millennium. Until tomorrow, Lord willing, we pray each of you a blessed day from God. Pastor Joe Raulerson
