Mindfulness, at its essence, is simply watching the self. It is what Osho called no mind because you literally have to be out of your mind to observe yourself having thoughts. We have become so attached to who we think we are that we have forgotten who we really are. Practice stillness. Practice silence. Practice watchfulness. Just observe... Cultivate the daily habit of watching you, being you... What does this mean? If you can become the witness of yourself in each moment, then you will, eventually, drop your addictions. Whilst you are so identified with them, you cannot drop them.
