Mindy and Mel, if you have a moment, I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on this piece. I know Im dredging up a long past convo, but I feel this woman has a point about privilege that I wasnt able to articulate those many months ago. Heres a little sample from the below blog to hopefully pique your interest: Its absurd -- everyone has some kind of privilege, and so we can acknowledge that and then move on and then actually engage with the issues. you can be a privileged person and you can be oppressed all at once and that should not prevent you from being able to participate in conversations about oppression.
