Minions at Lambeau: PACKERS vs. COWBOYS – January 11, 2015 (PART 8) PLAYOFFS! - PLAYOFFS! - PLAYOFFS! (Beedo! – Beedo! – Beedo!) “GET LOUD LAMBEAU!” … we were! Well, this would be our last visit to Lambeau to cheer on the Pack. GB and Stuart began making these appearances, and they wound up making the last appearance for the regular football season – how appropriate. Just to mention a little informative tidbit: the Packers this last game broke their attendance record. They also broke it at the Patriots game. Breaking an attendance record twice in one year… yeah, that’s pretty cool. We wound up meeting a lot of children this last visit and we had a blast. We also got a special impromptu encounter with a local TV station: WLUK FOX 11 reporter, Pauleen Le. About 8 am on Monday, January 12th, the Minions made it on TV; coming back after commercial where they were cheering on the Pack and saying “Good Day Wisconsin,” (on) a Fox 11 morning program. A few other photographers from ESPN Sports and National Geographic (of all organizations) took pictures of us as well. So we watched the game at the Tundra Tailgate Zone as always, meeting our security staff friends: Brett, Brandon, Dave, and Jeremy; to name a few. We’ve made a lot of acquaintances and friends at Lambeau – and now we’ve gotten to a point where upper management has taken notice of us. Next season is going to be even better, and we’re looking forward to develop a relationship and getting integrated and helping with other functions with the Packers. We have “friends” who know other “friends.” I will say that at this time, there’s talk about the Minions getting a special tour of Lambeau Field next season. The Minions are out there all over the internet and the sports blog-isphere – even a Dallas sports web page got pictures of us this last time around. We’ve been all over FB (Packer fan pages mostly) of course, and Twitter (Including, Packers Everywhere). The Minions didn’t make the Sights & Sounds of the Game on Packers this time, but it’s all good; after all, we were filmed in the previous 4 game videos. Of course, GB’s tongue was a main focal point of entertainment; even surprising several unsuspecting ladies (a couple of pictures show one particular woman being surprised by the tongue). Others, especially children, joined in by sticking their tongues out as well for some of their pics. LOL We stayed a little extra late after the game, hanging out around the south-east corner of the stadium to see if we could observe any player and/or high profile Packer team member. Our good friend Michelle was able to snap a few shots of Eddie Lacy #27 talking with a group of people, and we also saw linebacker Sam Barrington #58. GB and Stuart waved at some of the vehicles leaving the fenced-in, player’s parking lot and we got a couple ‘thumbs-up’ and horn honks. The Minions also took the time to visit the Atrium of Lambeau Field, entering the doors right next to the giant Lombardi Trophy. We took the escalators to the upper floor – Michelle was able to take a pic of Stuart and GB on the escalator. LOL The Minions got smiles and got more pictures with some of the few staff and middle manager types with the Packers and/or the Packer shops and visit centers. A couple of custodians even took a few shots with us, and 2 Green Bay Packers radio station personalities (WTMJ) doing their postgame broadcast, smiled and waved at us. Before we left for home, GB performed a ‘first’ that had never been done before by a Minion: he did a Lambeau Leap. Our buddy Ryan snapped a couple of shots of that. LOL Throughout all these visits we’ve made so many new friends and have been welcomed by everyone warmly – sometimes too warmly by those who’ve had a ‘little more’ than they were supposed to. The opposing team fans love us. I have to mention that out of all the opposing team fans we enjoyed meeting and getting photos with, the Dallas Cowboy fans were observed to be the most arrogant and ‘cocky’ – even more so than Bears fans. The Patriot fans were the most polite. The Lions and Bears (including the Patriots) had the most turnout; and the Eagles, Falcons and Panthers fans just seemed to have the most fun with us. Of course the best fans known to the game, Packer Fans, have loved and welcomed us like family since day 1! We love you Lambeau Field, Green Bay! GO PACK GO! See you next season… -MEOW PS: A huge thanks to Michelle Croschere and Ryan Tank!
