Minister of Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu, inaugurated two new passenger trains from Rewari on 13/01/15 in the presence of Shri Rao Inderjit Singh, Minister of State for Planning(I/C) and Minister of State for defence and Shri Manoj Sinha , Minister of State for Railways along with many other dignitaries. Shri Suresh Prabhu, stating that Indian Railways is the lifeline of the nation, will, through the Rewari-Bikaner passenger train, bring people from smaller towns closer to the larger cities and help them get connected with the rest of the large rail network. He also stated that the Railways intends to work closely with the state governments for developing rail projects/plans pertaining to respective states. The first CNG DEMU rake on the section was inaugurated as the RE-ROK passenger train. Shri Manoj Sinha, while addressing the gathering, stated that due to the reduced percentage of harmful gases emission from this rake, the environment will be kept safe.
