In Matthew 6:19 and 20 Jesus says 19 “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. These passages warn us against the evils of Covetousness or Lust which is idolatry. In today’s times selfishness is at an all time high with many people valuing real and personal property over and above the ETERNALITY of their very Souls in HEAVEN.
