Minor girl gang-raped, thrownoutside hospital =>Similar to the infamous Delhi gang-rape case, a minor-girl hailing from Darhal area was gang-raped and thrown outside the District Hospital Rajouri inserious condition by the rapists last mid night. The shell shocked 17-year old poor girl, Sakina Kouser (name changed), continued to be in serious condition and undergoing treatment in Govt Medical College Hospital, Jammu. The girl is said to be mysteriously missing from Darhal since July 10 and her parents were looking for her. They told that girl had gone to neighbourhood and did not return. Then they started searching for her and only came to know after they received a message that she was in serious condition at Rajouri hospital and rushed there. The doctors at Rajouri hospital said that girl was bleeding profusely and it could not be ascertained clearly that she was raped or not.They told the parents that there may be a cist (Rasoli) inside which had burst inside, leading to bleeding. The doctors at GMC Jammu confirmed that she was gang- raped and her condition was still serious as the bleeding had not stopped. An Investigation Officer was deputed from Rajouri and the police later registered a case FIR No. 364/ 2013 under Section 376 RPC. The police was clueless about the rapists. Some people at hospital told that a Tata Sumostopped near the gate of the hospital last midnight and 2-3 people threw the girl on the road side and then fled under the cover of darkness. They also revealed that vehicle was in speed and being at some distance the vehicle could not be identified. Some people then rushed there and found girl nearly unconscious and bleeding and removed her to the Emergency unit of the hospital. While the SHO Rajouri Varinder Gupta tried to play down the incident, yet he maintained that a case has been registered in this connection. He also said that police has started search for the accused. A boy has been rounded up with whom she was seen two days back. But the police was still clueless about the criminals and there was strong resentment among the people of the area over the incident.
