Miracles at 11 River! The next three mornings we are going to highlight three miracle adoptions of 2014. These animals touched the lives of our staff members and it was bittersweet to see them go home, but we are so grateful they got the second chance they deserved! First up - Sriracha (now Atlas). This handsome lad was transferred in from another shelter that needed assistance due to overpopulation. The poor boy was adopted and returned to our shelter twice - once because he wasnt quite what the adopters expected and once due to the adopters personal circumstances. Luckily the third time was the charm and Atlas finally met his perfect match. Caregivers Giulia and Cavan adopted him in mid-September after he had spent close to 5 months with us, and both are very committed to enriching his life to the fullest! Atlas just graduated from Basic Obedience classes here at the shelter and is going to start Intermediate Training soon. He’s even learned how to jump through a hoop! (Atlas) has made a huge improvement over the course of the few months that we have had him. We can see he enjoys going to the classes, and we are seeing a large improvement in his skills.
