Miracom, a Kansas firm thats developed an app to help the deaf and hard-of-hearing use mobile phones has now gotten approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to hit the market. Miracom designed the app, called InnoCaption, to accurately transcribe mobile phone conversations in real-time. It has been waiting two years for the FCC to grant it access to a government fund that would allow deaf consumers to use the app for free.
