Miranda O’Connell the project manager of FishnFuture Research project stated: “the FishnFuture Research project is working to build a unified and authoritative voice for Recreational fishermen in New Zealand supports the call to give proper time to review Snapper 1 area. Rushing into this will end in bad decisions for everyone. This snapper review is another example of the slippery slope recreational fishers are on when it comes to influencing fisheries management.”
