Mirch Masala: Hindi Lit games The literary club IIT Delhi held its maiden event this semester, a Hindi Literary Games Event titled “Mirch Masala” on the 21st of January. This event was primarily meant for the freshers and had questions from Indian mythology, Bollywood, questions on the various traditions and customs followed across the country and current affairs. About 105 students participated in the preliminary round of the event, in teams of three. The participants had to get all their grey cells together to answer questions that were put together by the Representatives of the club. The prelims ended in about an hour and the students were seen waiting anxiously for the results to be announced. Twelve teams were selected for the Main round of the event, the names of which were announced by Abhishek Verma, the Literature club secretary. The mains round comprised of 4 rounds: Dumb-charades, Infinite Questions, Rapid Fire and the Literary Quiz. Two teams were eliminated after every round in the Mains. There was a wild card round after the third round where one team was given a second chance to take be a part of the Mains again. Adarsh, Anirban and Ankit from Karakoram emerged as the winners of the event and not too far behind Ankush, Shrestha and Bharat from Jwalamukhi were the runners up and Sumit, Harsh and Utkarsh (Girnar) were the second runners up.
