Miriam Defensor Santiago preps to retaliate against Enrile After Senate Minority Floor Leader Juan Ponce-Enrile delivered his privilege speech at the Senate this afternoon, Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago is already preparing her reply as she is set to deliver her own privilege speech next week. Enrile’s speech is evidently a personal attack on Santiago. The two Senators have been going at it for some time now, including the issue where then Senate President JPE distributed un-equal cash incentives to the Senators from the Senate’s extra money intended for Senator Benigno Aquino III who vacated the position after becoming President. According to Santiago, she will retaliate from the alleged personal snide made against her by the veteran Senator. The feisty lady Senator asked Majority Floor Leader Alan Peter Cayetano to schedule her privilege speech on December 4. The Senator is currently on leave due to her Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and tried asking for a copy of Enrile’s speech. However, no one provided her with such copy.
