Mirror Mirror On The Wall: I hear people say thoughtless $hyt like often. F*ck the Police is often one of those statements. Granted, there is nothing wrong with that sentiment so long as its not indiscriminate. Every individual cant be corrupt/foul in organization comprised of hundreds of thousands if not millions. When I look at this video, I see an array of officers from diverse backgrounds. You cannot convince me that not at least one of these officers share similar values as many of these critics of law enforcement. You cant tell that these officers are all racially bigoted. I think it would behoove a cause/movement to have a more accurate message. I also think it would be a benefit to silence those who are unable to accurately and effectively articulate sentiment of a message. If Im not mistaken, in fraternal organizations, an initiate/member is discouraged from publicly speaking on issues until they have proven themselves sufficiently knowledgeable. One benefit of this is that it minimizes any negative perception of the organization by the fool tongued. Perhaps that principle of silence until proven enlightened would be beneficial in the fraternity of public outrage. I once heard somebody say that these so called good cops should start telling on the bad cops and that is a righteous sentiment. However, the flip side of that coin is that these so called good citizens should start reporting these criminals! Yeah, police may have a professional standard but if youre arguing from a perspective of morality, you too must adhere to the same standard.
