Mirwaiz said that if curfew was not lifted from Shopian in next 24 hours, hurriyat would appeal people to march towards Shopian. He further asserted that people of Shopian have been kept devoid of even basic daily needs like food and medicine. He said they would not be left at the mercy of gun totting Indian troops. Terming imposition of curfew as a worst form retributive politics, he denounced the government for imposing continuous curfew in Shopian. He said force and oppression can’t keep away Kashmiris from realizing their dream of Freedom. He said military oppression and occupation in Kashmir is an eye opener for those who are talking about the so called normalcy in Kashmir
