Mirza declared to have received revelation concerning his lifespan: “God has told me that I will live to the age of 80.” (Roohany Khazaen, Vol. 19, P. 239; Mawahib-ur-Rahman, P. 21) This claim doesn’t need much refutation: the man died 12 years prior, at the age of 68 – in a manner hardly befitting a Prophet. It is important to note that Qadiani’s claims and supposed prophetic revelations were so baseless they hardly need much to refute them. Many of his prophecies were proven false during his lifetime, and the other few pertaining to his death quickly came to the same end with his demise. What is interesting in all this is the attitude of the Qadiani’s towards their leaders prophecies, and their attempts to justify them to no end. In Kitab-al-Baria, P, 159 Mirza Qadiani writes that he was born either in 1839, or in 1840, but Qadiani thinkers and current day leaders proclaim that indeed, he was born in 1835 and this prophecy came to fulfillment, albeit with some modifications. Although, Mirza’s claim of the number 80 is well documented, we are told that what he actually meant was within the range of 80, and that he actually died at 75 based on the Hijri calendar. Imagine if Nuh (as) had been given the order to build his Ark, with a margin of error of 5 years! Imagine if the touch of Isa (as) cured, but the cure could take anywhere from now to 5 years to manifest itself. Imagine if Musa (as) arrived at the Red Sea only to find out Allah meant next year, not now with all the might of Egypt on his back. Imagine Musa’s (as) horror if the Nile turned to blood before he even brought his staff down to touch the water. Yet, these are the exact kinds of leaps of logic the Qadiani’s continue to make to gloss over and cover the unfulfilled divine revelations. The beauty of revelation lies in the fact that it is precise, swift, and most importantly, it is correct 100% of the time! It leaves no room for discussion and needs no post-validation or convuluted interpretation by those who follow. Sure, disbelievers can choose to demerit a revelation, but they are never able to deny the fact that it happened, as has been made evident time and time again during the life of our dear Prophet (pbuh). The biggest proof that Qadiani was an imposter lies within their community and leaders themselves. To have to continuously make excuses for their Prophet must not only be difficult – there is only so much spin you can put on a lie, but tiresome as well. That a person needs to continuously defend their prophet and his divine revelation against logic and reason should provide enough reason to realize the Truth. Allah’s true revelation leads to clarity in thought and action; it doesn’t weave a web of ambiguity.
