This was a much needed win and I am really happy today At one stage we were really struggling but then we had this partnership Maqsood/Alam partnership was one of the best I have ever seen We were confident of chasing down this total as the pitch was playing well and this is a big ground where you can have a lot of gaps in the field to score runs So we were confident of chasing this down as long as out batsmen played all 45 overs Losing 5 wickets early was a big problem and put us off track but that partnership really put us back in the game In the end Shahid Afridi showed us his experience to bring us home Maqsood has also performed well for us in No 3 position and is a good inclusion in the team Hes batted well at different positions and performed well every time Today he batted later in the order and showed good understanding of the position of the game , and batted well He could easily turn into a good match winner for Pakistan in the future We are trying different ways of using him in the batting lineup before the World Cup - lets see how it goes Both Maqsood/Alam can also be considered for Test matches based on their success in LOIs Giving away runs in the end is a concern for us but its a difficult job for the bowlers and sometime keeping scoring rate to under ten in the last few overs is an achievement
