In fact, this was the theme of the entire campaign. Miss Bali Tropix, could, in fact be anyone. The search was to find someone who represented the island’s beauty from the inside out. After 3 months of submissions, daily challenges and a lot of hard work, the top 10 finalists had spent the past two weeks preparing for the finals. The day of the event was crucial and timing had to be right. The 10 finalists arrived for makeup and hair at 5pm. You could feel the tension all day. As sound and lighting crews worked to set the stage for the event the ladies went through their final dress rehearsals. Three finalists would debut their singing talents for the first time on the Miss Bali Tropix stage. Final rehearsals were challenging with traffic, late shows, feelings of dizziness from one of the finalists and a list of other issues throughout the day. Gift bags were being filled, music was choreographed to each number and the big screen was synced to match each finalist’s entrance on stage. The judges table was set and the guests started to arrive by 10:00pm. One of the judges was caught in traffic which delayed the start by almost 30 minutes. By 11:00pm there was a cue at the door and guests were being seated. With a full house, the lights dimmed and Miss Bali Tropix came to life! MC, Eva Scolero and VH’s resident MC Yola welcomed guests, judges and the finalists to the 1st annual Miss Bali Tropix crowning.
