I will take advantage of this chance, I want to put all my effort into this contest. Describe your childhood growing years: I was the co-leader of the student council in elementary school. Also, I have a sister much younger than me that I always was looking after, so people said I was like a small mother. Any special facts or story about your family? Im the oldest of 5 children, with two brothers and two sisters. We get along very well. When something comes up, we have a family meeting and all talk about it together. What is the most unusual thing you have ever done? The most shocking thing to me was the Great East Japan Earthquake. It was a strong reminder that we cant take our day to day existence for granted, What is your most memorable moment? It was the time my youngest sister was born. I still remember the texture and scent of when I first held her, and the look of her small hands. What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this? I chose the problem of garbage. As our lifestyles have become more comfortable, the cities beautiful, and material things plentiful, on the other hand, the amount of garbage that has to be dealt with also increases. Especially in Japan, theres only enough space to deal with garbage for the next ten years. I think its now necessary to create a lifestyle that doesnt produce garbage for both Japan and the whole world. What can you promote about your country? Its said that if one comes to Tokyo one can enjoy the delicious foods of the entire world. Id like to promote our rich culinary culture. What trivia about yourself would like to share? It will be my first time to cross the ocean and talk to people from other countries, so Im very excited. While trying a new challenge, I want to learn more about the environment and expand my activities.
