Miss Maryland Agriculture county representatives toured the state fairgrounds with MD State Comptroller Peter Franchot yesterday and expressed their support of his proposed legislation to start schools after Labor Day. The spokespersons, along with their 4-H and FFA peers that exhibit at the state fair, would greatly benefit from the delay in opening so that they could fully participate in activities this coming week. Visiting with the state official are Miss Maryland Agriculture 2014 Jordan Mister of Calvert County, Anne Arundels Clare Kozycki, Prince Georges Mariya Walzel, Queen Annes Courtney McClyment and former Maryland Farm Queen Rebecca Lippy.
