Miss you Steve Really really miss you. I can remember when we lived at Salcombe Road and when you got in from sixth form you would give me the other half of a chocolate orange that you bought. You used to do that quite often - I still really like them now and I do some times think about those days when I have them now. I dont know that I have ever told you this before but I remember when you went away to the army - my god was I upset - Im a lot more upset now though - as well as many others. If only we could have gone on a cycling adventure - mum said that you liked the idea of that. It was fantastic with the people I went with - my god how wonderful it would have been with you. But I would have had to resorted to foul play in order to slow you down and to keep up with you! I used to do a bit of cycling for a while I might have even been a bit fit for a short time. I used yo cycle between from near the travellers friend at Crookhan to where mum and jim lived in Swindon. Used to cycle up on a Friday and cycle back on a Sunday. It was nice - I think you would have liked it. I remember though one day getting half way to Swindon after having eaten totally inadequately and bonking ( you probably heard this term before but if not it means like hitting the wall) my god it comes on quick one minute youre going okay and then bam its got you and you really struggle the rest of the way. It would nirmally take me about 2 1/2 hours - that night it was more like 4. This might make you laugh once cycling from Swindon I had out water proofs on because if sone rain - it stopped raining so took my water proof top off and mansged to out it in my ruck sack. But I had no room for the bottoms so I decided to wear them - I was probably close enough to mum and jims place to take them back but did not bother. The sun came out shortly aft er to give a glorious day - it was a bit warm with those bottoms on. You coukd have literally of rung out my jeans at the other end. Oh well battery low tone just gone so better recharge. My love to you Steve
