Missing NE girl rescued after 7-yrs from Gurgaon. After nearly seven years, a 22-year old Northeast girl was rescued Wednesday from Gurgaon, Haryana with the help of Gurgaon and Delhi police, North East Students Union, Delhi led by Robin Hibu, IGP Delhi Police and nodal officer, grievances cell for North East people living in Delhi. According to Delhi police, the 22-year old Kuki girl, was residing in Dimapur with her elder sister and the husband after both her parents expired. She was reportedly kidnapped in 2007 from Dimapur when she had gone out at night to attend to nature’s call. Sources said that though family members and police had put out all efforts to search for her in 2007, the search remained futile. According to Delhi police, upon questioning, the victim had revealed that she was brought to Gurgaon and was forced to work as a domestic help at a private company. The victim stated that she was denied of basic rights and was made to starve most of the time. She was also reportedly kept under house arrest, police said. The victim further revealed that a Nepali citizen identified as one “Vishnu” had forced her to co-operate and work at the company. According to police sources the victim was put up in one agency called “Vishnu Subh Mati Agency, A1 Aliganj, Kotla Mubarakpur, Delhi”. Sources said a large number of girls from the North East are believed to be still kept by this Agency.
