Mission: Czech Republic #2 In 2010 I came to Prague in my first voyage around Europe, unicycling, street performing and looking for Mouth Harp makers in various countries, and I had heard of- nay, seen awesome-looking pictures of Mouth Harps by a Czech maker with the tongue held in place by a single square rivet. Jan, my Couchsurfing host in Prague at the time, helpfully searched online for me in the Czech language for Brumle- the Czech name for Mouth Harp, and managed to find some information about a wooden flute maker in the far eastern side of the country near the border of Slovakia who also makes Brumle...with a single square rivet. Jan figured out his contact and called him for me to tell him that I was interested in coming to meet him, to ask him about his story and purchase some Brumle from him; he replied that he couldnt speak English so coming to meet him was pretty pointless, and anyhow he was very busy working on another order of Brumle and wouldnt be able to make any for me at that time. I understood that the time was not right for heading out to discover this Mouth Harp maker, and I told myself that some day I would just have to come back to the Czech Republic!
