Mission Log – P90X Day 19 (posting a Day Late) Mission Statement: This is the voyage of P90X, its 90 day mission is to become stronger, to push myself past the point of exhaustion and to make my body do things I never thought possible. To boldly go where I never dared before! Mission Log: Legs & Back This is another fun workout, a lot of leg work, both with and without weights, I have been using light weight, But I really am ready to increase it, not needed, but I am able so why not. We alternate between Chin ups and leg work, Still doing chin ups with an assist but someday soon I hope I can do at least half of what I am doing without, I was able to do 1, LOL that is a 100% improvement from before. I am still waiting for Tony Horton to show up at my house and give me a scolding for putting my heels down on a exercise routine, this guy is a trip, He comes out with some very funny statements or remarks, In a middle of an exercise and I start cracking up. Next routine I had to do was the Abs Ripper X, I normally do right after I finish the Main Event, but due to my hernia stating to feel the pressure and also time constraints I had decided to put off until later in the day and when that day came, I really was trying to come up with a good excuses as to why I could not do them, I really wanted to skip them. But after an hour of fighting with myself, I got down and finished them. In this routine, If I am able to keep up with the DVD I would had done 300 reps of various kinds within a 16 minute time frame, However at this stage I am not able to keep up, but At the same time this was the best I had done on this so fat. Instead of 300 reps, I did a total of 271, Needless to say I was very please with what I accomplished. I was only half that when I started this program. Also completed My Katas 1-6, This I also was trying to find a way out of, but I put my foot down, dug in and got them done, along with the Standard class exercise routine (5Times) sparring training and T-Stance switch exercise. Was glad that I did them I did put off my bag work until it was cooler outside, but I never made it to the garage, I fell asleep and now I owe a workout on the bag for at least Thursday and Friday, this is not good, I am bad. I will try to make up Thursdays this coming Sunday, Maybe I can double up on the routine, do one in the morning and one later in the day, or maybe start fresh on Tuesday. Doesn’t matter, I still need to develop the discipline to get it done. And I will. I would like to say it has something to do with the heat, sounds good, but all are excuses and I have none.
