Mission Log – P90X Day 20 Mission Statement: This is the voyage of P90X, its 90 day mission is to become stronger, to push myself past the point of exhaustion and to make my body do things I never thought possible. To boldly go where I never dared before! Mission Log: KENPO I love this workout, Cardio via a martial Arts, lots of movements that are just pure fun to do, I do wish I had my Heart Rate Monitor to keep track of when I am in and out of the Zone, I am starting to get better at the combination moves, I am able for the most part able to keep up, some things are still hard, like side kicks, they still bother my hips, They sometimes feel like my legs are being ripped from me, but it is not as bad as they use to be before I started doing exercises, Seems like I use to have a lot more pain issues, but not so much now, Except top of my foot hurts, and I still have the twinge in my back. Some of the stretch exercises I have a hard time with, and most of them are where I do have to place a lot of pressure on my hip, someday I know it will happen, I will be able to do without really any discomfort, for now, I do my best and forget the rest, as Tony Horton always states. When I do this routine, I hear my Sensei say, Pick on someone your own size, As that is what Tony States, Always saying to punch at someone your own height, I also had a bad habit of sometimes closing my eyes when punching, this came from trying to concentrate on a series of moves to be done, trying to remember, Well I know them, So now I make it a conscious effort to keep eyes wide open, FYI, Tape doesn’t hold up well under sweat. I was not able to complete My Katas 1-6 or any other Karate Training or bag work, to many events going on and I just could not get everything in. I made a decision, I had owed Katas for today, and Also bag work including bag work from Thursday, but this is a holiday weekend, I had been going 7 days a week with exercising for 3 weeks, therefore I need a rest day, I will take that tomorrow and I will not feel guilty about it one bit!, I have to take into consideration all the workouts I been doing including karate class twice a week, and I really need that rest day. So no guilt, everyone enjoy their Sunday. Remember NO EXCUSES, CHALLENGE YOURSELF COMMITTAND FOLLOW THROUGH
