Mission Log – P90X Day 3 Mission Statement: This is the voyage of P90X, its 90 day mission is to become stronger, to push myself past the point of exhaustion and to make my body do things I never thought possible. To boldly go where I never dared before! Mission Log: I had what I thought was another great work out, Todays routine was Arms and Shoulders, and I felt the burn all day, Loved this routine, I even liked the triceps dips, put your arms behind you on a chair, legs out straight on the floor (And there are other variations of this) then lower your butt towards the floor, back up and repeat, I really did better than I thought I would have. I had one exercise that I will need to increase the resistance on, other than that I thought I had the right amount for the other exercises. The first 10 minutes is basically a warm up and a light stretch, I do wish they had a little more aggressive stretching, funny, when I first started back in February, I considered stretching and early form of torture. I say I wish they had more stretching because Insanity had a lot of it and it really felt good long into the day, I was at karate class tonight, and I could tell I did not stretch good as I felt stiff. I may need to start doing some stretching outside of this program, they do have a stretch routine that is not mandatory, it would be done on Sunday, I will see after that to determine if I should add additional stretching during the week. After the main routine was done this morning, I went into the Abs ripper X routine, and that’s exactly what it is. I felt good afterwards; I improved over from what I did on Monday, which is something I try to push myself to do. This routine is done three times a week, I am not sure if I could handle it everyday as my hernia has really been acting up. It was ok today, but as the day went on, it really started to bother me to the point I really was unable to participate at Karate class tonight. I need to be careful and may end up going to see a doctor real soon, just afraid they will bench me. I don’t want that, but I also don’t want to take myself out of the game because I pushed too much. I will be playing it day by day for now. Also completed My Katas 1-6, Sparring training, and yes, I remember to do the standard class exercise routine. We also have a challenge this month for balance and other exercises, about 5 to 10 minutes a day. Really I just been forgetting to do them, I think I better start considering the month is almost over, I will see, as I do have a lot on my plate as it is. Not making excuses, just I am trying to prevent over training Remember NO EXCUSES, CHALLENGE YOURSELF COMMITTAND FOLLOW THROUGH
