Missioners Devotional for Thursday, June 20 At Annual Conference, Rev. Eric Law spoke to us about all of our interactions being a type of what he calls Holy Currencies. The way we share our time and space; use our leadership; build our relationships, venture our understanding of truths; invest in wellness; even the ways we spend actual money. All these are opportunities to “hold on” or to “give away.” The act of going into the mission-field can become for us a liberating “giving away” of our spiritual currencies. For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there until they have watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11
