Mississippi law protects the people who operate equine event - TopicsExpress

Mississippi law protects the people who operate equine event operations. The legislature has said that equine events entail some danger, and those who participate in, or congregate around such activities do so at their own risk. Event managers are required to make participants aware of the law by posting it in conspicuous locations and/or assuring that they are aware of it. Why dont legislatures do the same thing for other activities. The article Ive linked to is about cities closing parks to sledding because of the liability danger. The State legislature need only pass a law requiring that dangerous activities have a posted warning, and stating that the city, or other entity, is not liable for injury associated with such activity. Such an easy solution, but one seldom employed. Why? abcnews.go/US/wireStory/liability-concerns-prompt-cities-limit-sledding-27988639
