Mistake List (episode 4) Written By: #Prince Wako pitori (Prince Mazibuko) No,Uncle Ben said we musnt touch that container.Put it back.He said if we touch it something very bad is going to happen to us,said one of the other kids.Well Ive already touched it and nothing bad is happening to me.Uncle ben was just joking.Dont worry man,the older one.They opened the container and poured the ashes into one of the tins that they were using as pots then they added some water and began to stir.They stirred until the ashes absorbed all the water and dried out but at the end it looked nothing like pap.Well we all know how kids are,theyll eat anything that they prepare for themselves as bad as it is.They picked some mango tree leaves and used them as plates then the older one began to dish up for everyone else.They all held hands and closed their eyes then they said the God bless our food before we eatprayer.They then began to eat and funny enough their Pap didnt taste very bad after all.They ate until they finished up their food then one of the little girls stood up and smiled as she said That was greatIm going to wash the dishes now :) .She took the dirty tins and went to the tap where she used and old cloth that was lying around to was the Pots.When they were all finished the older one called everyone and told them not to mention anything about the container and the powder that was in it.He then took the empty container and threw it into the rubbish bin just by the gate.The kids then decided to play something else so they played hide and seek and while they were playing,they made a lot of noise so their parents and all the others including Mfundo woke up one by one.When everyone was up,they took turns to bath then when they were all done Mfundo prepared some nice breakfast so they gathered at kitchen and enjoyed their breakfast.The mood was a bit better that morning since they had all stayed up the whole night and had some comforting conversations.When they were done eating,they sat down and discussed their next move.Uncle Ben suggested that they should perform a cultural ritual by slaughtering a goat just to apologise to their ancestors for bringing their child to them in that unusual form.It was decided that after the ritual,they would burry the small container in a small hole between the graves of the deceased persons parents.As they had their discussion,Mfundo realised that the container wasnt where he had placed it the previous night so he asked everyone where it was.Wait,wheres the container???,he said as he stood up.Everyone turned around and their eyes went straight where they last saw it.They then stood up and panicked as they looked everywhere while all the kids put on a world class act and pretended not to know anything.Everyone looked everywhere until it hit their minds that the container was just nowhere to be found.As the confused family stood there scared,confused and speechless,the rubbish truck came and they just looked at it not knowing that it was about to take away the last piece of evidence that would atleast give them some closure.The bin that had the container was emptied into the truck and just like that,the container was gone!....All of a sudden one of the kids fell and held his tummy as he screamed with pain has if he was being attacked by the worst stomach cramps ever.Everyone jumped up and gave the kid their full attention then again,another kid fell and did the very same thing!!In just a few seconds all the kids were on the floor kicking and screaming with pain and their parents were confused asking themselves what the problem was.All of a sudden....All the kids eyes slowly turned red as if they were bleeding....... ..........To be continued..........
