Misty-Eyed-Sky in the morning grey streaked clouds in sluggish formation obscured a porcelain sky the air was limp and placid not a whisper or a sigh at times a random wind-burst scattered billows of dust across the earth and as I watched, coffee in hand it looked like the sky would cry for the land; in the late afternoon the windows shuddered from a reverberating boom the wind kicked up in dusty gusts as the sky took on a discoloured hue I sat on the veranda, another coffee in hand surveying the tattered and wind-swept land the moment vibrating to the beat of a marching band birds took to the air currents swooping from tree to tree the leaden sky punctuated with their graceful energies; sharonlee©
