Mitchell Freedman : One more...I helped an attorney with an opposition to a motion in limine in a trial where we wanted to make an argument that sounded technical, but was really common sense. I said to the attorney, Theres a California Supreme Court case on this issue where they quoted Subterranean Homesick Blues... and I saw his face go blank. I said, You know, you dont need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows. Now it was very blank. Bob Dylan? A shrug of his shoulders. Oh boy, I said to myself. So I found the case for him, and then I sent him this video and said, You need to watch this video so you feel the argument you are making. I can bet the judge will know this song and this point. Bottom line: The motion was denied, just as we argued. Ah, Bob Dylan Jurisprudence.
