Mixed fortunes today at Sand Racing, blew a motor in the first - TopicsExpress

Mixed fortunes today at Sand Racing, blew a motor in the first race whilst leading but still managed a second place. Then became a spectator and watched five channel islanders who have made HUGE strides forward. Bob Teed is now a front runner and will be a serious contender for the Guernsey championship, either this year or in the very near future. George van der Tang made a great leap forward today and is looking like he is almost ready to move up to the front of the pack. The Jersey duo of Kevin Bishop & Jamie Griffiths are different riders from the ones I saw last year and are both flying, a bit of Marcus Bisson influence no doubt. In the juniors Billy Rive was an inspiration. Gave him a couple of tips and he just went out and did EXACTLY what I suggested and kept getting quicker all day. Thanks to all five of you because you all made a shitty day in to a day to remember,
