MoT sanctions funds for tourism development in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim & Nagaland Dr K Chiranjeevi, Minster of State with Independent Charge for Tourism, Government of India, has approved Central Finance Assistance (CFA) for tourism development projects in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Nagaland. This is aimed at giving a boost to the tourism industry in North East India, a release stated. For Sikkim, Rs 89.10 lakh have been sanctioned for tourist infrastructure at Bura-Nilkantha at Legship. The project involves development of amenity block, construction of eco-friendly walkways and landscaping and beautification. Rs 160 lakh each have been approved for strengthening wayside amenities along the national highway in Sikkim circuit, display of signages and hoardings at railway stations, bus stops and hotels in order to showcase and propagate the tourism potential of the state, and development of tourist circuit along Marchak, including development of Barchangey water site in East Sikkim.
