Mobile 1000 Report • March 2014• #WockhardtFoundation • Mobile 1000 - a big, best, and bold initiative of Wockhardt Foundation made a steady progress on its path of service and commitment. We launched 2 Mobile1000 vans in Haridwar, Uttar Pradesh, donated by Gail and 1 Mobile1000 van in Vaijapur, Maharastra, donated by Vaijapur Merchants Bank. The programme served more than 10, 72,464 poor patients in the month of March 2014. NEED OF MOBILE 1000 • Rural healthcare = Need of hour • India has 6,36,000 villages but only 23,000 Primary Health Centres • 31 % of village population travel more than 30 kms to receive primary healthcare HIGHLIGHTS OF MOBILE 1000 • Free primary healthcare in rural India through Mobile Health Vans • Van administers ADC formula (Awareness + Diagnosis + Cure) • 1 Van = 25,000 patients treated per year HIGHLIGHTS OF MOBILE 1000 IN March 2014 • Total Vans = 500 • No. of states covered = 11 • Breakup of Vans: » Andhra Pradesh = 40 » Uttar Pradesh = 18 » Madhya Pradesh = 6 » Maharashtra = 7 » Gujarat = 1 » Odissa = 6 » Bihar = 1 » Rajasthan = 1 » Karnataka = 1 » Uttarakhand = 3 » Tamil Nadu = 416 • Total Patients treated = 10,72,464 • Average patients checked per day = 91 • Total villages covered = 16,376 villages • Average villages per Van = 33 • Main diseases treated : » Respiratory infections, diarrhea, malaria, body ache, cough & cold, anemia, fever, scabies, conjunctivitis, ear infections, skin itching, skin infections, arthritis, peptic ulcer disease, hypertension, diabetes, dehydration, backache, weakness, gastritis, malnutrition, infections.
