SAP TIP Mobile Research Africa invite applications from outstanding and dedicated Computer Science, Informatics graduates who want to study for an advanced degree and work with SAP Research TIP Mobile Research Africa in support of our business objectives and your long-term career goals. Scholarships are substantial and equate to salaries associated with positions in the private sector for which similar qualifications are required Our research focus includes the design and development of appropriate business software and services, as well as the enhancement of current SAP products and services, for use in Emerging Economies (EE). Innovation and impact on SAP drives drive the identification of new business opportunities as well as the conceptualization and development of new applications and services. Research is inter- and multi-disciplinary and addresses not only topics related to technology, but also challenges related to people and business – such as technology acceptance, technical writing, economic impact of technology on communities and new business models for providing business services to customer in emerging economies. The programme is supported by the SA Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Media, Informations and Communications Technology (MICT SETA) in the interest of advanced human capital development and research capacity building. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS Part time development honours level students with the following skills required: - Java - Android - SQL - Eclipse IDE Preference will be given to outstanding young South African citizens, particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds. All positions are non-permanent contract positions within an enabling research environment. WORK EXPERIENCE: EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES To qualify for this opportunity, you need to have strong motivation to gain practical experience in a research environment, to contribute to the development of new business solutions and services.
