Mobilezoo is still fighting a few fires after the unfortunate - TopicsExpress

Mobilezoo is still fighting a few fires after the unfortunate incident that happened several weeks ago when the Saltzman family enquired about a booking and never actually completed and returned the booking form. This booking form includes vital details for a booking with 3 simple instructions summarised as follow: 1) Complete and return the form via email. 2) Pay the amount due and email proof of payment. 3) Ensure your function is on our web calendar as we use the same calendar in planning our events. We did not receive this and as a result we did not attend their function. A payment was made with a child’s name as reference but once again as we did not have a booking form there was no way to tie up the name on the reference with a party. When the event was suppose to happen I had a call to enquire where we were and the more I tried to gain information and piece together what happened I got no answers and during a second call that followed where I finally received the first piece of the puzzle, the date and reference of the payment together with numerous insults and swearing. Unfortunately my daughter was witness to this as she was playing “minion rush” on my phone and when the call came through she was not sure what to do and the call was answered and on speaker phone with family present. On Monday the day after the incident we wasted many hours to assemble information and when completed I sent them an email summarising and showing them step by step as to why we did not attend due to their failure to provide information and provide the relevant documentation. We even offered them the option of selecting another date or providing a refund and rather than receiving a reply or an apology we received a lawyers letter demanding their money as well as compensation in the amount of R20 000 “for damages and emotional stress” for not attending plus there were some blatant lies posted on the hellopeter website. I have to incur costs and register to reply as a supplier and waive certain legal rights which we are not prepared to do at this stage but can comment as a facebook comments but most people do not see this when they see the complaint on the hellopeter website. As a result we have been inundated with queries from friends, family, party planners as numerous people we have dealt with in the past as well as potential future clients and naturally at the event itself there was “quite a scene and slander” when we did not attend. We now have to incur costs as well to protect our name against these absurd allegations. They Saltzman’s attorney last name coincidently is also Saltzman and we assume it is the brother. They have sent a second letter expressing that they now want to settle this matter “amicably” yet the comments on hellopeter remains and we have suffered real financial loss instructing an attorney to defend this matter as well as reputational and other losses we are currently quantifying.
