#MobilityAwarenessMonth Julie from Have wheelchair will travel says, Our son is 18 years old and has Athetoid Cerebral Palsy. He took his first good unaided steps last August (16 in fact) and has continued to improve. I have attached the newest video of him walking. Although this will never be his main way of getting around he is proud of his achievement, as are we. Every bit of mobility he has assists us so much. The fact that he can weight bear during transfer, step in and out of the car with assistance and stand up helps us day-to-day. It also gives him a great sense of independence. It is lovely to see all the photos and video of everyones progress on the page. It is good to remember to work towards small goals. They all add up. Julie (facebook/havewheelchairwilltravel)
