Mobleys Adventure Walk: Hi Michelle, Thanks so much for sponsoring a Holiday adventure for a dog at Richmond Animal Care and Control. A handsome young pit bull mix named Mobley got to have the most fun day ever! He’s a red brindle and white cutie with one blue eye and one brown eye. Mobley is the kind of dog that thinks every single thing is fun! Any thing you throw at him, he makes the best of and has a blast. Mobley had lots of energy to spare and to say he was excited would be an understatement! On the drive over to Reedy Creek, he climbed into the front seat and started barking at me to drive faster so that he could get to the river to have some fun. Mobley has the tendency to bite and tug on the leash while walking, which from a dog’s perspective is a never ending game of tug of war. But of course that’s no fun for the human, so I brought along a rope toy for the hike and as soon as he got it he focused on walking and not bothering with the leash. It seemed like he loved having the “job” of carrying the rope toy. Along the way we would stop and play fetch and tug of war with the rope toy and some sticks. He made sure to make the best use of his time outside with running, jumping, and playing to the max. No regrets for Mr. Mobley! When we got to the rocks, I found out that Mobley is a great water dog and loved splashing around and swimming! Even though it was a bit chilly outside, that couldn’t stop him from a fun time. He also loved hopping from rock to rock and flying through the air. At one point he threw the rope toy into a water filled crater in the rocks and thought it was so fun to splash in the water and try to get it out! Mobley’s fun attitude is contagious and it’s impossible to not have an amazing time with him! He would love an active home that would include him on all of life’s adventures. If anyone is looking for a dog to do agility or another dog sport with, Mobley would be awesome at it! He definitely has the speed and jumping ability to exceed at any athletic activity.
