Models, just a reminder if you are using your FaceBook (or any - TopicsExpress

Models, just a reminder if you are using your FaceBook (or any Social Media) to promote your brand/talent.... remember that consistency is what can make or break a call or an email inquiring of your availability. Every year, I help cast dozens of projects for companies looking to hire a model for something particular. Even if you are represented by an Agency, they ALWAYS observe your IG or FaceBook for images NOT shown on your Agencys comp card or website. It is not uncommon for them to choose your worst photo, along with your best photo to compare the difference. The biggest difference that is observed is body-weight and composition... along with skin complexion (with or with little makeup). In addition, everyone in casting pays attention to the DATES of your photos, noting the changes over time. Also the amount of PHOTOSHOP editing is your #1 enemy. Trust me on this. If you dont know how much is too much, please ask a photographer or casting director you trust to be honest with you. That being said.... CONSISTENCY is very important here. Make sure the photos you keep are up-to-date, relevant, and depict yourself accurately. While it may seem unfair, you will also be judged on your non-model photos (selfies, Bar/Club photos, etc) to contrast and compare this with your working photos. Social Media can be your most valuable asset to marketing yourself, but it can also be the reason why you dont get the call-back.
