Modern conservatism and libertarianism both share most of their core values with classical liberalism, in summary they draw from the same beliefs of individual rights, responsibility, property and small accountable government. Modern (progressive ) liberalism is supposed to have a similar connection though with fewer similarities due largely to the more collective minded ideology and desire for larger authoritative government. In practice the first three are economically uplifting by promoting a freer society through free market enterprise and respect for individuals by the constitutionally limited government. Detroit and Chicago are fairly apt examples of long term progressive policy. m.youtube/?#/watch?v=iU-8Uz_nMaQ
