Modis interview with Arnab Goswami I just saw Mr. Narendra Modis interview with Arnab Goswami. I must admit that I am really impressed! Arnab asked all the tough questions but Mr. Modi emerged as extremely self confident, clear thinker, precise and a decisive leader. Although he was evasive on some difficult questions like the ones on the 2002 Gujarat riots and the Snoop-gate, his explanation was that those issues were sub-judice and it is for the judiciary to decide. He obviously couldnt have admitted his guilt in a public interview while matters were under judicial scrutiny. Mr. Modi was also not very kind to Arnab who was extremely polite and respectful to him. He appeared rather aggressive to me at times. This was perhaps due to past history between them. Arnab could not push as much as he usually does. He was not at his aggressive best. But I thought he could have pressed a little more on issues of Bangladesh infiltrators and Adani. Of course, credit must be also given to Mr. Modi who has a very domineering persona. However, apart from these issues, I found Mr. Modis interview quite impressive. He should have rather given this interview much before the first phase of polling. It could have cleared certain misconceptions in peoples minds and could have also been better for his electoral prospects. Nevertheless, this interview will have a positive impact in the last phase of polling.
