Speculation has been about Lekgwathi’s future with Pirates following the expiry of his contract at the end of June. Modisane, however, insists that Lekgwathi is staying put. “Lucky is an Orlando Pirates, so he is staying with us this season,” Modisane told the Siya crew. “I hear people asking why he didn’t play in the Soweto derby, but the answer is simple. The back four was chosen by the supporters, so the technical team had to go with what the supporters had chosen. When Happy (Jele) got injured, they opted for Ntsikelelo Nyauza because he is familiar with playing there and he did well on the day. “So there’s no story here, Lucky is our player and that’s just it,” added Modisane.
