Modulo Modulo is an established IT GRC vendor, with executive management in Brazil and the U.S., European operations and a growing North American presence. Modulo Risk Manager V8.0 is a good tool to support a wide range of IT GRC use cases. It is uniquely positioned for large critical infrastructure implementations, such as supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), cyberdefense and municipalities, due to certain features it has implemented to support these requirements for integrated IT, physical and operational technology (OT) risk management. The product has made good advances in the last couple of years in interface, risk management and usability. It is also well positioned to take advantage of the evolving market for above-the-line IT GRC use cases, and is clearly on a trajectory to be rated Strong Positive in our next MarketScope. Modulo is best suited for large enterprises, with broad IT GRC and customization requirements. Strengths The company provides mature products, with a strong global presence and international support in multiple languages. There is a large amount of vendor-developed content for IT technical controls, and predefined policy content for most major security configuration standards. It can support large, complex deployments. Challenges References report good out of the box (OOTB) functionality and ease of use, but a significant portion of Modulo revenue comes from services. Organizations should carefully determine the amount of required services for an implementation. Modulo is experiencing better success with its North American rollout, but it still lacks the recognition of many of its competitors in the United States. Rating: Positive
