Mohanlal plays for the gallery and even though I loved the fanfare in Mr. Fraud, I have to say that PEZHUCHARI was indeed a sort of a let down! PLEASE SWITCH OFF YOUR MOBILE PHONEs AND KEEP YOUR LOGIC OUT - that was the prerequisite of the film. If at all they had put in so much of an effort that they had done to make that disclaimer. the film would have been watch. Well then if audience appreciate mindless comedies like this then every other Sajid khan movies should be s super hit here ! Right! So there is this American fighting for the post of Governer and PR person is played by Vijay Babu who is a Harvard pass out but even hfeels the heat when the candidate is not getting his ratings up. So what does he do. He gets in touch with the ruling party politician in Kerala and asks hims for help and voila after a while there he sends Jagganathan played by Mohanlal to Los Angeles ata whopping price tag of 30 crores! Baburaj and Ajju Varghese are his side kicks and thankfully there is some comic relief from the double meaning jokes that Baburaj cracks on the way! So what does he do to get the candidates ratings up? Jaggu kicks off a racial stir between the blacks and whites, he gives them pizzas and beer instead of biriyani and pint for them to take part in support congresses, he saves the candidate from a leaked video and he announces freebies for the people who would vote for him. and to top it all, wears an American flag as a mundu to bash up the villains at the end so as to save his love interests son from grave danger! He wants the money as he wants to set his own Sports center back in Kerala. I did not know what was going on. and even though it did add a good humor to the story where Lals old hit songs were used in between scenes I felt that it was ridiculing those ever green super duper hit songs by placing them in a movie such as this one. Far from novelty and far from even being illogical, this movie disappoints me as I expected a certain quality from this film, but was let down completely by the lack of intent. Going with 4/ 10 for this PEZHUCHARI that should have been in its hole. The cheese trap in getting ready!
