Moin Sahib, Bilal, Niaz, and Benazeer, you are a very well educated and informed persons who are tirelessly involved in social issues of injustice and discrimination. Not many have such guts. Though you already know, yet it might be refreshing to see the happenings in the Southern United States, not long ago, but merely 50, 60 years ago. You will quickly see dramatic parallels of that with the mistreatment of the poor and minorities by various factions of the Indian society. However, the big difference is that social awareness to atrocities against the American blacks forced the government to pass civil rights laws amidst a lot of violence. Whereas nothing is perfect, yet the lives of blacks here are far better today than what it was just a little while ago. My reason for pointing this out to you is that reform in India too is possible through laws and their enforcement. To this effect, I think the time is very ripe to do such things. Besides what I have shared, Hollywood has produced several real life stories that graphically exhibit an America not long ago. Hope this is inspiring. u-s-history/pages/h2876.html
