Molesey Brewer - Pliny The Clone 8.1% ( Bottle 80/80 feel privileged ) Pour: The beer opened with a light hiss and poured a wonderful deep burnt orange in colour with good carbonation and had a fluffy cream coloured head. Nose: Wow wow wow you get grapefruit, orange, candy sugar, fresh pine cones, tree sap, watermelon, brown sugar and Carmel biscuits. Taste: Wow, first of all you get a massive hop bomb.... Grapefruit, pines, brown sugar, strawberry and lemon. You also get caramel malts, dry hay, wheat crackers, which leaves an oiliness on the palate. There is a wonderful deep grassy fruity bitterness starting to develop which has a light twang of smokey yeast. The mouth feel on this beer is amazing and it certainly drinks its ABV by leaving a warm ness on your chest. Finish- The beer finishes with light Malts, which are intercepted by big tropical fruity hops that develops into a lovely grassy bitterness. For me with out a doubt this is a 9.5 out of 10 beer.
