Molly update from this afternoon...from Pam Ulery... Hi Everyone, I got to see Molly today for about an hour. I heard her voice as I came down the hall. Was so awesome. She was sitting in her wheelchair and so happy because she had just finished therapy and had walked some for the first time in 52 days. I got to hug Molly and get a hug back. Yesterday was the first day that anyone could enter the room without gloves and a gown. Molly has surprised them all on how quickly she is recovering and moving through rehab. She kept saying do I still have a job? My reply - When your ready Darlin! Molly cried when I gave her the card from the home office. It was huge, homemade and very personal. Thank you all so much. I also shared with her the sales that have been made on her behalf, the comments from Kris and all the support from her FDLIC family. She doesnt remember some events in her life, people or even that she owned a house. But every day she remembers more and more through conversation and interaction. She has 3 separate pic lines. Still on lots of meds. Kinda like truth serum. Shared some funny moments with her today, lets just say I will remember those for some time and keep several too myself. Her goal is too move to the next hall at Drake when she is more mobile and can do things on her own. Just a hallway away. There she will have 3 hours of therapy a day and will continue to evolve and move forward through her rehab. Once ready to leave Drake Medical Center she will move to her parents house for sometime with therapy before returning home. Who knows, this may all change as she continues to recover sooner than expected. Her drive and enthusiasm is incredible, that is how she survived this still undiagnosed virus that caused the seizures in her brain. The nurses nicknamed her Mozo, well until Tuesday after removing the trach. Now she sounds like a goose when she laughs, so her new nickname on the floor is Goose. Molly hopes that will change once the hole closes. Honk, honk, honk... Too cute. Laughter is great medicine. Molly lost about 20 pounds. Can only eat protein right now and still has a feeding tube in her stomach. No sugar or carbs. Molly has never been left alone. Someone from her family has been with her 24/7, which is so important today. What an amazing bond and family support. Her fundraiser is this weekend and they expect 450+ to attend. On behalf of the Zoz family THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS AND SUPPORT. What an amazing company and group of people. She is looking forward to the Bengals game tonight. Who Dey Miss Molly! Go Bengals. Blessings to all, Pam Ulery Director of Sales Development Funeral Directors Life Insurance Company
