Mom Post Last night my DH picked up his daughter from a week long visit at her moms (BM get 4 non-consecutive week visits a year and last week was one of them). A few hours after picking her up, she started bawling! She was holding her private area saying her butt hurt. I took a look, and sure enough, she had a severe rash. I put her in a warm bath and sent DH off to get some desitin. Meanwhile, while SD was in the tub, I noticed a bunch of random, little bruises all over her lower back, one on her spine, and one big purple one on her hip. We took pictures of her bruises. Also, afterwards SD told us that her bath felt good and that she hadnt taken one over at her moms. This morning she was still a little inflamed down there so we put more desitin on her and brought her to the doctor. The doctor asked if we had called local law enforcement or cps, which we told him no, that we just wanted to start with a medical opinion. He also asked us if we thought her mom abused SD, which we said no, but we think that maybe she doesnt take care of her the best. Well, the doctor stepped out of the room saying he is going to make a couple phone calls. The doctor ended up calling cps on BM. I am very concerned this is going to go over VERY badly, as BM is high conflict. At the same time, if the doctor felt it needed to be reported, then it is probably best. I dont want my SD to ever have to go somewhere and feel uncomfortable... Does anyone have any suggestions or advice that will be helpful in handling this situation? RP LUCKY JEWEL No Bashing Please
