Mom Rebounds, Bellies Shimmer, Ice Creams on Sale, And the Firemen Glow. So it was pretty much a celestial day, and thanks to all who cranked up that petulant prayer wheel, as my Mom did a 180 today and was almost her old (!) self. Let us hope this holds. Tonight my friend Terry Monaghan took me to dinner for recent favors and afterwards I showed him The Perch and he deemed this a good move, even though he hissed just a little through his praise. As I was driving him back home, an impromptu troupe of belly dancers gyrated in the Gerdas parking lot across the street, so we rolled down the windows of the Honda and critiqued: Brava, Divas, Brava. They curtsied. Down at the Bakers, the Kroger Brand Private Select ice cream was on sale, and if you dont know from this stuff, maybe its just as well you dont get started, it is that estimable. In the checkout (again: !) line, a trio of firefighters made one aware of breast cancer and a plethora of other phenomena too racy with which to taint a family post, but lets just say the light glinting off those polished pates could have melted a pint of the chocolate eclair. It was as though the day were fashioned from a tarot deck. Will the clouds part long enough ere long to let me catch whats left of the waning full moon rise? That would complete the magic.
