Mom Tip: Ask for Help Today, I couldn’t do it alone. Lucky for me, I wasn’t alone. I had a kind neighbor, a trusty friend, a helpful school mom, a sweet son, and a loving husband help me. I was sick. Not deathbed-sick, but need-some-extra-sleep-sick. These folks all pitched in the help me have a day of rest. How many times have we as parents forged our way through those sick days, still doing laundry, going to the office, taking the kids to jumpers, and grocery shopping? But some days, it’s too much for us to do it all alone. With the exception of driving through Swiss today to get my eggs, I didn’t have to do any of those things, because in a moment of strength – not weakness – I could put my “do it all “ pride aside and say, “Hey, can you help?” It’s as simple as that. Just ask. Until November 19, all Swiss Farms locations are collecting food donations for the Delco Thanksgiving Food Drive, supplying local Delco food banks. Many Delco families are in need this holiday season, and some of them aren’t able to ask. “Hey, can you help?”
